  • Position Summary
    The Digital & PR Manager is responsible for managing the various aspects of social media, digital media and websites for all Monster Energy Company brand, managing quality media leverage for Monster Energy, set goals for media leverage, and oversee the implementation of media and content plans across the assigned territories. Play a pivotal role with media and bottling partners, ensuring assets and opportunities are being fully capitalized through Digital and Public Relations efforts. Manage local markets’ ability to leverage ambassadors, events and properties sponsored by Monster Energy.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Overseeing social management of Brazil
  • Creating and maintaining digital posting schedule
  • Daily monitoring the external dialogue and image of Monster Energy brand in earned media including engagement as well as analyse quantitative and qualitative performance to incorporate any learnings in future plans
  • Monthly and yearly reporting on channels
  • Setting goals and KPIs for channels in line with HQ
  • Managing local social budget
  • Developing new and innovative ideas for social campaigns in respective regions
  • Establishing KPIs and goals and manage the relationship with designated Digital Marketing agency ensuring annual performance reviews conducted to improve agency performance
  • Establishing KPIs and goals managing athletes and ambassadors social media deliverables


  • Creating localized articles for the Brazilian website aligned with Events / Athetes / Ambassadors acitivites
  • Repurposing globally relevant content
  • Product list maintenance
  • Updating rosters
  • Creating promotion landing pages
  • Managing digital promotion execution and mechanics in line with HQ
  • Working with HQ and graphics team for digital graphics request
  • Supporting creation and maintenance of micro sites for all Monster brands
  • Research emerging media opportunities


  • Working with media team to upload to and utilize Monster Media
  • Work with local photographers and videographers for executing contractual agreements
  • Working with bands, legal, Audiosocket and media team for proper music licensing
  • Developing film production concepts in line with HQ and Marketing directives
  • Execution of locally driven film projects that will live on digital platforms
  • Working with Brand Managers to ensure marketing goals and direction are reflected digitally for each brand
  • Help define the overall e-commerce strategy and roadmap based on the needs of our Moster consumers and business objectives

Communications (PR & Internal)

  • Develop and drive the PR strategy & plan ensuring alignment to the overall marketing plan and business/market needs in Brazil
  • Drive, develop and execute campaigns to increase relevancy and recognition for Monster Energy brand and products in the public field via earned media of any kind (classic media, digital media, influencers, interest groups, etc.)
  • Represent Monster Energy as spokesperson at external events and with athletes, ambassadors, partners and influencers
  • Manage the relationship with designated PR agency ensuring annual performance reviews conducted to improve agency performance
  • Lead media training for Athletes and Ambassadors
  • Coordinate with functional teams to gather information and deliver a monthly newsletter and all internal marketing communication
  • Actively support and consult issue and crisis management.


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience and proven success record in working in Digital Marketing Communications and Public Relations
  • Bilingual: fluency in English and Portuguese both spoken and written
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms
  • Comprehensive understanding of how social media impacts brands and how it relates to delivering business objectives
  • Advanced copy writing skills
  • Advanced MS Office user and experience in Photoshop / Illustrator
  • Experience with website management software
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners, athletes and internal teams
  • Must be articulate, confident, outgoing, focused but easy going, pro-active, driven creative and be a problem solver.
